Doug Mazza’s distinguished career began in the automotive industry, as a member of the team that introduced Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America's new line of automobiles in the United States. Later as senior American executive for American Suzuki Motor Corporation, he authored the marketing plan that successfully launched Suzuki automobiles in this country. Under Doug's leadership, the Suzuki Samurai was named one of the top ten marketed products in the United States; it ultimately became the subject of a Harvard case study.
Doug then joined Hyundai Motor America as its top American executive, serving four years as Chief Operating Officer.
Long a dedicated volunteer with a variety of non-profit organizations addressing human needs locally and nationally, Doug and his wife, Lorraine, made a life-changing decision when Doug became Executive Vice President of JAF Ministries. Founded by visionary, author, artist and quadriplegic, Toni Eareckson Tada, the international organization serves those affected by disabilities and their families in the United States, western and eastern Europe, China, India, Africa and South America. Recently, Life Magazine featured a JAF program that establishes wheelchair restoration centers in American prisons, providing restored wheelchairs to disabled people around the world.
Doug has been the recipient of a national award from the organization Women Against Violence in the Media, recognizing his public stance against sexism and in support of family values, A graduate of Otterbein College, Doug lives with Lorraine in Woodland Hills, California; together they have raised five sons.
